July 2020 TBR

It's that time of the year again. School is over, allowing me to spend my days curling up with a good book. For me, July is the month of duality. The first half is filled with exams, late night cramming, ink stained fingers, furiously scribbled notes and late nights at the library. The second half is when school is over, it's the immediate relief after completing your last exam, it's walking out of the exam hall with a sense of accomplishment, it's fondly thanking your teachers for their hard work. It's late nights, parties, sunrises and sunsets and spending hours consuming book after book. 

For July, I've committed to my own little reading challenge, and that is to spend the month reading books written by Black and Asian authors.

Children of Blood and Bone - Tomi Adeyemi

This will be a reread for me. I first read it last year and since I haven't gotten round to the second book in the series, Children Of Virtue and Vengeance, I thought I would refresh my memory and reread the first book before jumping into the second.

Children of Virtue and Vengeance - Tomi Adeyemi

This is the sequel to Children of Blood and Bone, this will be my first time reading it and I can't wait! I'm excited to see whether I enjoy it more than the first book.

The Wrath and The Dawn - Renée Ahdieh

The Rose and the Dagger - Renée Ahdieh

This book is the sequel to The Wrath and the Dawn, I'm hoping to finish this duology in July.
